Founded in 1858, Trinity Church, Anoka, is one of the oldest parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota. As the parish grew its first building was found to be too small and a larger church was built. In the late 1950’s the parish again felt a need for an even larger facility and the present parish building was planned and constructed; its cornerstone was laid in 1964 and a major addition was made in the 1980s.

Our worship centers on the Holy Eucharist with very active lay participation in all aspects of the service. We are especially unique in that at each Sunday service in addition to communion there is a healing team that lays hands on and prays with those who find themselves in special need of physical or spiritual healing.

The strength of a parish is measured in the devotion of its members to worship, fellowship, and service. Trinity Church is especially blessed in all three areas. In addition to the dedication of parish members to our Sunday worship, Trinity Church is also known for its incredible warmth and fellowship. It is difficult to visit and feel invisible. The parish coffee hour following church is renowned for the incorporation and invitation of visitors.

The service ministry of Trinity Church is strong and vibrant. Approximately fifteen years ago a small group from the parish began “The Family Table.” Once a month members of the parish gather to prepare a home cooked meal and offer it to those in the greater community who are in need of nourishment and fellowship. Since its inception this ministry has grown from one parish church serving meals and expanded so that 14 different churches throughout the north metropolitan Minneapolis area now serve meals in a Family Table way.  At Trinity Church we serve between 150 and 200 people on the last Saturday of the month.
